Can you install a hard-wired smart camera?

A power cord that plugs into an outlet is not present with hard-wired cameras. Rather, they are directly connected to an electrical power source. We do not currently offer the service of installing hard-wired smart cameras; this should be done by a certified electrician.

Can you install my camera if the brand of my device is not listed as an option?

Installing a smart camera is approximately the same for all brands. When scheduling your service, choose “Other” as the brand and supply the model and make. We will notify you if we are unable to support your device.

Where can I install a smart camera?

Smart cameras that run on batteries can be installed almost anyplace there is strong WiFi. Make sure your camera is approved for outdoor use before installing it outside. Installing smart cameras near a power outlet is required for those equipped with power cords. Look for a close-by outlet on the inside side of the install position if you’re installing a camera outside your house without an external outlet. We might be able to use an internal power outlet by drilling a hole big enough through the outside wall. We advise caulking any wall openings following your service.
